The EB-2 category for Indian nationals has retrogressed four years and will be set at January 1, 2000 for applications received beginning June 1st. If you are from China, the backlog is five years less - February 15, 2005. And if you are from any other country in the world, there is no wait at all. I looked at both the service center webpages(texas & nebraska) & I-485 application has to be sent to Nebraska only.I do not understand now why they are transferring the application from nebraska to Texas
if I-140 is approved at Texas.

My I-140 mailed/delivered at TSC was approved in 20 days (2/2006). Attorney mailed AOS at NSC (delivered on 7/2/07: he said all EB applications has to go to NSC irrespective of the center of I-140 appoval). I donot understand if it is to be transferred to TSC why it should have been invited at NSC-may be receipt #s are generated at NSC and cases are transferred electronically to different centers for handling depending upon work load of the center. NSC may be the monitoring center. Going by discussions here it looks like TSC is quick and fast. Any guesses?

i dont think we are going to solve anything by fighting among ourselves here... we have to take the fight up with USCIS and not among ourselves... the plight of EB-3 at this point is far far worse than EB-2... atleast we are current.. they are not even that.... we have to somehow include all fractions into what we do at this point....
EB-3 deserves a GC as much as an EB-2... and so let's not create boundaries here... United we stand... divided we fall...
what are our options.. to make the 500 pound gorilla kneel down ??
i remember a famous saying.. pen is mightier than the sword... so what are our options guys ???

I guess, this goes mostly on " intent " basis, they probably don't need a law for this. The word "Permanent resident" itself sets forth its meaning - ie. one is intending to permanently reside in a given country. If you apply for more than one, i think they can question the intent and ask us to choose one because one can not " permanently " reside in more than one place.

I was working on DC but so far just received 30 votes..
Like I said I will talk to core members if only we have 1000 members who wants to do it in DC on July 14th.. So many members are online but they don't even want to take a poll.. I don't know what to expect from members..

That is a good start. We had around 14 people on 07/07 demonstration but it was fun. Thirty is double that. I will keep you posted on what strategy we are following in Bay area. I will also request the Chinese member to post about the local event in DC once we finalize the logistics today evening.

I have a friend who got offer like u. He is cautious and paid $350 and met an Employment attorney re. non-compete. Even If this happens, it will not help EB3I because then the spill over will be shared by all countries in EB3. Then there will not be any option left both for EB2 and EB3. Now atleast there is an option for some EB3 folks to move to EB2.
Don't worry EB2 Dude! Nothing is going to happen. You will still enjoy the enhanced status that you currently have. The EB3 folks like myself have far too much lethargy/timidness to do anything. The fact that they are still in EB3 after so many years is proof of that. :D

They are not personal checks. So there is no way for me to find if the checks were cashed or not. But attorney said, it takes minimum two weeks. But it looks like many have gotten their receipts.

I am not sure if TSC receiving/encashing 485 application all 5 days. We get few check encashment then lul for couple of day. then again few more...

We received our two year EAD from TSC on August 4th. RD and ND June 18th. No worries for two years.
