If you think it is that ridiculuous, then you should tell the core members that. They did ask us to call him on the last day of LD. There is nothing wrong in writing to him. In fact, you are making a comparison that is not correct.
Actually, it was an exceptional situation. As you are well aware of, we had to get an unanimous consent if the skil bill were to pass in the LD, so, we needed to have Session's approval. To deflect the situation, he just said that his office hadnt received any positive comments.. When we ended up jamming his phones and gave all the positive comments, what came out of that, nuthing.. he did not budge from his stance.. It was just a ploy and even if the entire US of A had called him, he would not have changed his stance.. He had to score brownie points from his supporters. He knows that the Skil bill will be passed next year, and may be some form of CIR even.. He can then blame it on the democrats and stand for re-election in 2009 with complete support from his supporters..
Its all a gimmick for votes. This is politics, same thing in every country, just more sophisticated here...

I really believe, that for this flower campaign to hit major news media, and make it a success, we all need to talk about it outside of IV, talk to reporters, email the pdf, and ofcourse talk to other friends of ours, let everybody know this is happening.

On Aug 19th we got our CPO emails. I was on vacation so couldn't post the message to the site. After that no updates from USCIS. Still waiting on the Notice mails.

I agree absolutely. Living right here near DC and being a victim of the present USCIS mess, I still did not know about this campaign until a family member from India mentioned about it after reading it in the local newspaper.

Just got email. No card yet.
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On July 26, 2008, we ordered production of your new card
update:
Another thing I just noticed is a LUD on my I-140 which was approved a year ago ( july5th 2007)
The lud happened on 7/27/2008.
Recieved an email just now. Status was updated to card production ordered.
Paper filed at TSC on May 22, 2008
Service center: TSC
Last LUD on July 25 (Previous update was on May 25)
Current status: Card production ordered.
Waiting till I get the card .........
Cool, at least some movement. I hope, mine moves too!!

no it will not be voilation of the law at all. consider this scenario thats been going on for the last 30+ years. For example July 2006 visa bulletin for EB2 india was jan 2003 and the August 2006 visa bulletin for EB2 india was unavailable. EB2 india visa numbers might have already been used up when the August 2006 visa bulletin was released but they still accepted the AOS petitions filed until the end of July 2006, they did not issue an updated visa bulletin or a revised visa bulletin saying eb2 india numbers are used up and they will not accept eb2 india aos applications, they continued accpeting AOS applications until the end of july 2006.
Pitha -- you forget one very important thing -- they still wasted 10K visas in 2006. So in Aug and July they had not actually consumed all the visas -- they just expected to in August and didn't manage to.

Do not fight we are EB2/EB3/EB1. This is law and instructed by politicians. Divide and rule.
Same thing they did and now and you see the result in IV forum where people fight that create below category
1.Based on educations (US masters/US bachlors/Non US masters/Non US bachleors etc etc)
2. Based on experience - US experioence non us experience
3. EB1/EB/2 EB3
4. L1/H1/b1/b2
5. Family based
6 etc etc
If you count the division you can say based on heights, color, marries and non marries status etc.
So stop fighting based on politicians category and help IV to goahead and fight for all.
I personally feel when you fight you have success for one group and no success for other group. So do not feel that EB2 are getting beenfits. I myself is EB3 and expecting GC by 2026

- Flew into YYZ (with family), completed landing process last week
- Have expired H1-B stamp but approved I-797s
- Flew back this week on AVR
- No questions asked on both sides
- Stayed in Canada for a week. Its an amazing country with mix of good points from Europe (relaxed life, warm people ...) and USA (cleanliness, immigrant friendly ...) and a stable economy (atleast this far...). Overall, liked Canada alot
- Some people say, "its sheer luck", but many friends have done this without any problem. I would say "its sheer bad-luck" if anyone got into trouble doing this
- I would not suggest giving up the Canadian PR based on just rumors and no facts
- Have pending 140 and 485
- Have APs too, but did not use them
